Lorem Ipsum is just dummy text in the printing and typesetting industry.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text since the 16th century when an unknown printer took a galley of fonts and compiled them into a swatch book. Not only has it survived five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, essentially unchanged. It was popularized in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets with Lorem Ipsum passages and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker, including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

It has long been known that while viewing the layout, a reader is distracted by the readable content of a page. The point about using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more or less normal distribution of letters as opposed to „content here, content here“ which makes it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and website editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‚lorem ipsum‘ will discover many websites that are still in their infancy. Over the years, different versions have evolved, sometimes accidentally, sometimes on purpose (injected humor and the like).
